Wi-fi and Mobile Phone coverage – due to the surrounding hills, O2, Orange and T-mobile are very poor reception at the units. Vodafone usually works fine. If you have difficulties try working the phone on the exterior of the property.
Local shops – There are a number of local shops including a paper and butchers shop, post office, bakery, co-op and a general dealers. Usually open 9 to 5 except Wed. afternoon. The Co-op has extended hours open until approx 10pm each evening including the provision of alcohol.
Two pubs and a social club are located within easy walking distance of the units.

Tourist Railway – this is located approx ½ mile from Stanhope Morningside adjacent to the foundry.
Churches / Chapels – There is a Methodist church located on the Back Lane at Stanhope and the main church located in the market place.
