Stanhope Morningside self catering cottages are located in Stanhope at the heart of Weardale in the North Pennines. The renovated farm buildings retain their original design yet have been fully modernised.

Dairy: Shared entrance conservatory with living area. All on ground floor: Living room with dining room/kitchen. 1 double (6ft zip and link, can be twin) bedroom. Shower room with toilet.

Wi-fi and Mobile Phone coverage – due to the surrounding hills, O2, Orange and T-mobile are very poor reception at the units. Vodafone usually works fine. If you have difficulties try working the phone on the exterior of the property.
Local shops – There are a number of local shops including a paper and butchers shop, post office, bakery, co-op and a general dealers. Usually open 9 to 5 except Wed. afternoon. The Co-op has extended hours open until approx 10pm each evening including the provision of alcohol.
Two pubs and a social club are located within easy walking distance of the units.

Tourist Railway – this is located approx ½ mile from Stanhope Morningside adjacent to the foundry.
Churches / Chapels – There is a Methodist church located on the Back Lane at Stanhope and the main church located in the market place.
